Mini Ipad

Apple company is preparing to introduce a new produce "mini Ipad" into the market. This new mini Ipad is smaller cheaper then the current Ipad 3. Compared to the 9.7 inches model, Mini Ipad is fewer than eight  inches across diagonal which is easy for customers to put in a pocket.  It will be available this autumn in time for Christmas. The  'Ipad Mini' would compete with rival tablets such as Google's seven-inch $199 Nexus 7,  Microsoft’s Surface tablet which was revealed last week, and current Android tablets Amazon’s kindle Fire. We will be creating a marketing plan for Apple's new mini Ipad.

    Cool. If the price of new mini Ipad the same or little bit higher than google and kindle fire, people will buy mini Ipad instead.

    I think it is a good idea, the market is out there. I personally wouldn't be interested in one because I have both a phone and an Ipad. Although, if I didn't have the Ipad I'm sure I would be interested in it especially if the price was much less. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with.

    That's very cool! How do you fair the mini iPad will do in the market of tablets and what will it be its niche compared to other tablets if it has one? Other than that I think the mini iPad will do fairly well as other Apple products have seem to do well in the past.

      I feel as tho the saying is the bigger the better it's opposite in the technology world. Lots of people are looking for something smaller and more portable to take on the go since we're in a society were most of us are always on the go.

    I think this marketing plan will be very successful, for it will allow Apple to enter the small tablet market. The only drawback I can see happening is that the mini iPad will not sell as well as the full-sized iPad because existing Apple customers who own full-sized iPads may not be interested in purchasing this new product because it will be so similar.

      Think of it like iPods, some of it sold fairly well than others but they still continue to make different lines of iPods. I don't know if you remember when they first came out with different colors of iPods but that sold fast and now they don't even make that line anymore. They keep improving the nanos and people are still purchasing it. The best example is the iPhone. Nothing really changes with the upgrades other than they add different features but when you upgrade your old phone it runs on the same system.

    I actually didn't know that Apple would be releasing a mini iPad. Wouldn't it be similar to an iPhone though? I'm looking forward to learning more about the mini iPad!

    A mini ipad? The ipad 3 is pretty convince than laptops, what is the point that Apple create a mini size of it? I have the same concern with Fidella, what is the different with an Iphone? Ipad has the almost same apps with Iphone, the only difference between them is the size. Are customers like to buy something that similar?

      Like I said in the comment before.. The bigger the better isn't always true in technology. Not everyone could afford an iPhone or it's plans, it is cheaper to have an iPad and Apple is a trending brand that seems like everyone must have. I'm sure when the iPad mini comes out there will be new features like so from iPhone 4 to 4G people. There wasn't too big of a difference but people still upgraded. iPad mini will be smaller And more convienent to take.

    I think the Mini IPad is a great idea. Compact size is perfect for traveling It's handy when needed! I think parents would prefer buying their kids the mini IPad over the IPad3 because it's cheaper in price and function pretty much the same way. You guys offer a few things that the IPad don't so it can make this product more appealing.

    I didnt know they were coming out with a mini ipad, how cool ! Are their any differences between the regular ipad and the new mini one besides its size? I am excited to see the rest of your teams market plan for this mini ipad since I do not own an iphone or an ipad. Everyone seems to wlays want to the new latest technology, so I think that your product will sell well when it releases, due to Apple products always being so popular and high in demand. Excited to learn more about this product!

    I have found that all of the apple items I have purchased have been "mini". Being a college student and constantly on the go , this could be the reasoning to my purchasing trends. Although the standard ipad is ideal for my situation it has not been able to draw me in. Is there anything different about the mini ipad besides the size?

      The new iPad mini is rumored to have the same retina display as the currently new iPad, which would mean more money on the company, but the price would be substantially lower to be in competition with other small tablets.

    Apple has already done a tremendous job in developing its market share of the tablet industry. Competitive pricing and revolutionary pricing make the industry much more difficult to compete. With phones approaching the size of tablets and tablets shrinking down to the size , it makes one wonder where the happy medium will be . Window's surface tablet, BB's playbook, Android's Galaxy tab and other tablet options have made this a war of the operating system. Hopefully the mini-Ipad doesnt lose the captivating effect its bigger brother offers and meets expectations.

    To me, a Mini iPad is simply a iPhone. I'd like to know who your target audience is and why anyone would purchase an iPad with a smaller screen.

    Mini iPad is a new idea, but i don't think it will be successful. For a small size, I think people can choose a iphone with full function of a ipad + call. For a cheap price, it will not cheaper than the others.

    It's a good idea if the price is similar to that of other tablets such as the nook and kindle because people will probably prefer an Apple products as opposed to Amazon or other companies.

    I like your marketing plan however I would be concerned with your how much competition you would have with the other versions out there already. However there is a large group of people that only use apple products.

      I think we would have a big advantage with the brand name itself. Pricing would fall along the same line as the other competitors. Plus Apple is a huge trending brand that seems like everyone must have their hands on, although there are a lot of people who are anti-Apple.

    I like the market that you are getting into and the idea that you have but I am also concerned that this mini ipad is very similar to the iphone. How would your market strategy take into effect these accounts and how would you make sure your market plan is different from those apple products which are already out there? Great idea!

    Recently, many company produce similar shaped phone and computer. Apple is remarkable company to produce products which many people are attractive with them. New mini-i pad might be similar to large one but it should be handy and easy to carry. I am now interested in taking a look them!

    I didn't know that they are going to have a mini pad soon. Those electronic things are getting smaller year after year. I am wondering if the mini pad is just slightly larger than cell phones and smaller than ipad, why can't people just use either one?

    There is an increasing amount of speculation about what this new ipad will offer. With apple introducing software updates allowing ipads to use the SIRI application, the new i pad model will offer a tablet for the customers in between the price point of the ipad and some of the more basic tablets.
    Definitely getting excited about the release of this tablet.
