It's been a busy week for us here at The A Team. As a sneak peak into our product development, we would like to share with you two new features that will be rolled out in the new iPad Mini. It will have an SD slot and hotspot capability. How do you feel about these additions? If you have ideas for features that will add value to the iPad Mini please share with us.
(*Side note* These features are only for our marketing plan, so don't get disappointed if you don't see them on actual future Apple products.)
Can you explain the new features with more details? I actually don't know what SD slot for because I don't really know about ipad features or functions.
ReplyDeleteSD stands for secure digital and an SD card is a memory card used for digital file storage. For example, if you have a digital camera then you're most likely using an SD card to store your photos. By having an SD slot on the iPad Mini users will have an additional method to store and share data. SD slot is not a feature that is specific to the iPad. If you look on the sides of most laptops you will see an SD slot for inserting SD memory cards.
DeleteI think that adding an SD slot is a great idea. This will give buyers the ability to expand the size of their mini, allowing for more room for pictures, videos, and games.
ReplyDeleteI think hotspot capabilities are a vital feature!! I have had many problems going places and trying to use some of my apple devices because of internet issues. This ultimately made me very reluctant to use my current apple devices, as well as buying new ones. Ultimately my buying decisions rely heavily on the convenience and effortlessness of the product. This is why I also believe the sd capability would also be a huge hit!

DeleteI think it's very convenient to have the SD slot. It does come in handy when needed. I believe all laptops even net-books already have the SD slot, therefore, I think it's about time the IPAD have one too. I like how you guys added this option in!!
ReplyDeleteNow I am user for Android. So I am not offense for I-phone, rather would like to use them sometime. One thing of what I concern about I-phone, I-pad is not to have SD card. If they have,I-phone, I-pad can easy to transfer their data to others and safe in case of their sudden accident as well.
ReplyDeleteHaving a SD slot on the iPad would be very convenient, for apple users. However, I think that including an SD slot on the iPad will be the end of Apple's sales on the SD slot adapter.
ReplyDeleteI think iPad should have a USB port. It allows iPad connect to many other device. In my opinion, a USB port is better than a SD slot
ReplyDeleteWow, this mini Ipad will be better than the regular Ipad because it has USB port and Wifi hotspot capability. If it has sim card slot, I bet people will buy it instead of Iphone or the other companies phones.
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with SD slot is, it has the limit storage. People use ipad/iphone take a lot of pictures and download games. It has to be hugh storage, unless this function will be optional for saving stuff. Then I believe more people will like this idea.
ReplyDeleteThe convenience of having an SD slot is quite beneficial. I do really like the idea of a Wifi Hotspot. My question is, however, is how will the iPad have a connection to the internet in the first place? Will the iPad be 3G or 4G compatible?

I have actually been thinking about how I wished that my phone had a sd slot since I take a lot of pictures on my camera that I wish I could put straight to my phone whenever I wanted. This would allow me to be able to transfer my pictures to my phone faster since the ipad mini is smaller and easier to bring around than my computer
ReplyDeleteCool. iPad mini sounds like a great idea especially with the market of tablets and such now a days. So many people are getting into this market for tablets and with the iPad generating so much buzz and name branding of its sheer incredible technology the iPad mini could be a great hit. How can your prices rival your competitors as to what it brings into this market of tablets?
ReplyDeleteWe understand that Apple, much like other producers in the tablet market, needs to consider consumer price sensitivity. However, we feel that Apple gained much of their competitive edge by designing their products with their focus on enhancing the end user's experience. As such, the iPad Mini was developed with the end user in mind and it will be priced at a lower range.
DeleteSD slot is a great idea. I have the iPad2 and I'm always complaining how it doesn't have a USB port. I think that would be great to add in the iPad mini.

ReplyDeletei am excited to hear that the mini ipad will have an SD slot that will make transferring from one device to another even easier. And the hotspot capability is really gonna come in handy. One question is the mini ipad going to be able to access icloud as well?
ReplyDeleteThere are a few tablets with a usb port and hotspot options, why not try introducing an HDMI port built directly into the ipad as oppose to having the need for external accessories. None of the current portable apple devices have expandable memory. How difficult would this be to incorporate? Ive heard talk of a 19-pin cable being used instead of the current 30-pin. How much of an effect do you think that would have for existing apple product users?
ReplyDeleteInstead of going with the conventional wifi or even 3g/4g support with tablets these days, i think it would be very innovative if tablets started moving towards products that had wireless broadband. Kind of like the usb devices that sprint first started providing, but this time just built into the product
